The ESDA research portfolio reflects a deep commitment to research in the field of sport for development. Previous studies have delved into the socio-cultural impact of sport programmes, the lived experiences of sport and health, and sports equity and inclusion. Our aim is to explore ways to bridge gaps between research and practice, and create equitable opportunities and more effective sports provision.

With a experience spanning almost two decades on projects and grants worth over €4million (including 13 EU-level projects and 7 PhD projects), we utilise cutting-edge monitoring and evaluation techniques, and transformative insights that have significantly impacted the landscape of sport for development.
